Our Story

Gemixx Exports is a family-run enterprise with handcrafted manufacturing expertise dating back to 1982. The leadership team has decades of combined experience in international professional kitchens and industrial engineering.

Gemixx launches domestic operations in the US as Gemixx USA, focusing on supporting key clients in the US. The local office provides a bridge to clients' creative, merchandising and logistics teams.

Gemixx refines its global image and brings in product design expertise focused on serving the global luxury boutique customer segment. The luxury boutique segment quickly becomes the leading growth driver for the firm.

The family firm rebrands as Gemixx Exports following a strategic rebranding of product focus and operations. High-growth product segments are brought in-house following acquisitions of small artisan operations, equipping them with tools to deploy their skill at scale.
A decade-long sprint of expansions begin, leading to partnerships with some of the world's largest houseware brands at the time. (E.g., Cost Plus, Crate & Barrel, Michael Aram, and many more)
Growing operations provide opportunities for a key firm leader to leverage culinary school experience in international kitchens
The first family firm is launched with beginnings as a contract facility for electroplating flatware for India's leading manufacturers

our Vision

Keeping the Hands in Handicrafts

The global handicraft industry has seen drastic changes in the last thirty years, with the decades old art of metal forging, forming and casting becoming a lost art. We at Gemixx have made it our mission to empower our second and third generation artisans with modern manufacturing tools allowing them to efficiently create high quality products using their ancestral artistic skills. All our products are hand-made, keeping the “hand” in handicraft.
